This article focuses on the applications and maintenance practices of Edwards IH600 / IH1000 / IH1800 series dry roots vacuum pumps in five major scenarios: semiconductor, flat panel display, solar photovoltaic, vacuum metallurgy, and laboratory. It analyzes in detail which parts are most easily worn under each working condition (LTC shaft seal, filter element, bellows, HV rotor), how to select standard version vs. HV version based on process gas characteristics, and provides typical fault codes and maintenance solutions for IH1800 in key semiconductor processes such as PECVD, sputtering, ion implantation, etching, and heat treatment.
